Why I Love These Muffin and Yogurt Jars

With a busy, on-the-go lifestyle, I need breakfast options that I can eat on the go. I am always looking for healthy ideas but they are hard to come by.

I love having the fridge stocked with these muffin and yogurt jars. It feels refreshing knowing that I do not have to think about breakfast all week.

I also love this combination because it keeps me full all morning long and is a wholesome breakfast choice. The high-protein and dairy-free ingredients are just what my body needs to start the day off right.

They are also a great high-protein snack option for mid-day munchies or after a workout. I’m not going to lie, sometimes I have them for breakfast and then again for a mid-day snack. LOL.

What are the Ingredients?

You guys, this is probably one of the most simple breakfast recipes ever. You only need two ingredients. My homemade Peanut Butter Protein Blender Muffins and single containers of your favorite yogurt. I like to use plant-based yogurt such as Kite Hill.

For supplies, you will need a few wide-mouth large mason jars with lids and a handful of plastic spoons. (Because I wasn’t joking when I said this was one of the easiest recipes and also easy to eat).

How to Make Protein Muffins and Yogurt Jars

I know, I know, this is way too simple. But, I want to be clear on how to properly store these ingredients.

I always recommend cleaning the outer yogurt container with soap and water and completely drying it off before placing it into the mason jar.

Place the yogurt cup on the bottom of a glass mason jar then add a lined muffin on top.

If you can squeeze a small plastic spoon into the mason jar, go for it. Otherwise, seal the jar with a lid and place it into the fridge.

How to Eat This Breakfast in a Jar

This is my favorite part. When you are ready to eat, remove the two ingredients from the jar. Unwrap the muffin and set it at the bottom of the jar.

Remove the lid from the yogurt cup and pour the yogurt on top of the muffin.

Grab your spoon and dig in!
