These Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolates are a delicious and satisfying treat that has quickly become a favorite among candy lovers. These vegan-friendly candies are made with wholesome ingredients and deliver an indulgent and flavorful sweet treat.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 8 candies

Equipment

  • 1 small saucepan *no lid needed
  • 1 small glass bowl to place on top of the saucepan for a double boiler
  • 1 silicone Easter candy mold *8 small candies

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup vegan chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles

Instructions

  • Grab a small saucepan and a glass bowl that fits on the top of the pan. It is too small if the bottom of the bowl touches the bottom of the pan. Use them to create a double boiler.
  • Add about 2 inches of water to the pan. Place the microwave-safe bowl on top of the pan. Add all of the ingredients, except the sprinkles, to the small bowl. Turn the stove up to high heat until the water boils. Once it begins to boil, turn it down to low heat. Stir the chocolate mixture frequently until it becomes completely smooth with no chunks. Remove everything from the heat.
  • Use a small bunny or Easter-themed silicone mold and fill the holes completely with chocolate. Top with optional sprinkles. Make sure to clean the edges around the mold so that the chocolate comes out with smooth and clean edges.
  • Place the mold tray into the fridge for about an hour or more.
  • Once you are ready to eat, carefully remove the chocolates by pressing on the underneath side of the mold.
  • Transfer the chocolates from the silicone mold to an air-tight container and store them in the fridge or freezer. I prefer to keep them in the freezer.

Notes

Eat these right away once you take them out of the fridge or freezer, otherwise they will melt.
They will last in the fridge for up to 10 days and in the freezer for up to a month.
Substitute peanut butter with almond, cashew, or sunflower butter.
